KEEPING FAITH FILMED AT OXWICH BAY WALES

New Series of BBC’s Keeping Faith filmed at Oxwich Bay

We’re very excited to announce that part of the new series of the BBC’s Keeping Faith was filmed at Oxwich Bay back in February 2019!

We’ve had to keep this under wraps for the last few months… but we’re now very excited to announce that part of the new series of the BBC’s Keeping Faith was filmed at Oxwich Bay back in February 2019!

Cast and crew filmed for two days at several spots along Oxwich Bay beach, and made use of our Marquee in-between filming for some well-earned rest and relaxation.

Take a look at these lovely shots by leading lady Eve Myles, along with Mark Lewis Jones (who plays Steve Baldini on the show) during filming!

Keeping Faith is a Welsh TV thriller following Faith Howells (played by Eve Myles, recent star of Cold Feet on ITV3), who finds herself at the centre of a conspiracy following the mysterious and sudden disappearance of her husband.

The highly commended first series ended with a dramatic cliff-hanger, leaving viewers excited to catch the new series on BBC One this summer.

The Welsh version, ‘Un Bore Mercher’ (which translates to “One Wednesday Morning”) aired on Sunday 12th May 2019 on S4C. The English version will be released early summer 2019.

Oxwich Bay on screen

It’s not the first time Oxwich Bay has welcomed stars of stage and screen.

Back in June 2018, filming took place on Oxwich Bay beach for Netflix’s historical epic The King, starring big name actors including Robert Pattinson and Ben Mendelsohn. The film is currently in post-production.

Oxwich Bay has also featured on programmes such as BBC Wales’ Walking Weatherman, which follows weatherman Derek Brockway as he explores many fascinating sites across Wales.
