Accommodation Terms & Conditions
- For a full refund of any amount already paid, cancellations must be made one month prior to the arrival date
- Cancellations made between 48 hours and one month prior to arrival may hold the deposits for use on another date within one year.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will result in the loss of deposit.
We require a deposit of 50% of the total value of your accommodation booking at the time of booking. For credit card bookings, the balance is payable on departure. Where deposits are paid in cash, we require full payment in advance for the entire booking.
Soiling & Breakages
Please note that any soiling or breakages found following departure will be charged either by invoice sent to the guest’s registered address or by a further charge to the guest’s credit card after departure.
We make all effort to ensure that our staff do not make excessive noise before 9AM to ensure that your stay is as restful as it can be. There may be emergency circumstances where this is not possible, but we will make every effort to notify customers in advance where this is the case. Please note that we cannot guarantee noise levels after 9AM.
In line with new UK legislation, the hotel buildings including public areas, bedrooms, static homes and cottages are non smoking. This includes E-Cigarettes. For guests that do not comply with our non smoking policy following departure, they will be charged either by invoice sent to the guest’s registered address or by a further charge to the guest’s credit card for deep cleaning and the dry cleaning of linens.
Any person/persons found to have occupied an extra bed without prior agreement with the hotel will be subject to a £25 service charge.
The price you pay
Rates quoted are per room, per night based upon room occupancy of two adults (unless otherwise specified) and subject to availability. Supplements apply for additional adults, children and where applicable, dogs.
Prices shown are applicable at the time of booking, are not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Offers are subject to availability and are applicable for new bookings only. Existing bookings made prior to the launch of any promotional offers may not be changed.
Check-in and check-out times Check-in time for our main hotel is 2pm and 4pm for our static homes and cottage rooms. Your room may be available before the aforementioned check in times however, this cannot be guaranteed. If required the hotel can arrange storage of your luggage until your room is ready.
Check out is at 11am. Late check outs may be available during your stay at the discretion of the hotel but cannot be guaranteed and must be agreed prior to arrival.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 10am, 7 days a week.
Evening meals are served between 6pm and 9pm, 7 days a week.
For guests on our dinner, bed & breakfast offer this includes a £25 food allowance per adult and £15 per child. Anything over these amounts will be chargeable along with any drinks.
Children are classed as 2-12 years old. Children are charged at £15 for bed & breakfast or at £25 for dinner, bed and breakfast.
Infants under 3 years will be accommodated, where space allows, in a cot, free of charge.
Bookings may be held provisionally without requiring a deposit for up to 24 hours. If no deposit has been paid to secure the booking after 24 hours it will be released without prior notice.
General Terms & Conditions
The Oxwich Bay Hotel has a zero tolerance policy for physical or verbal abuse to staff or customers. We reserve the right to refuse to serve or accommodate any customer who is behaving in such a manner towards a member of staff or another customer. Please be aware that customers behaving in an inappropriate or threatening manner may be evicted from the premises and the police may be involved.
The Oxwich Bay Hotel reserves the right to refuse admittance, service or accommodation into the hotel or may remove a person who: while on the premises of the hotel acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroys or threatens to destroy hotel property, or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance; or refuses or is unable to pay for the accommodation or services.
Alcohol and illegal substances
Any person or persons found either possessing, using or distributing any illegal substances will be banned from this premises and reported to the police.
No alcohol may be brought into the hotel or hotel grounds by clients, their guests or representatives for consumption or sale on the premises without the express written consent of the hotel and for which a corkage charge may be made.
Comments and complaints
Any comments or complaints regarding your stay or our service should be made to the Duty Manager at the time of your visit so that the matter may be resolved immediately.
With the exception of death or personal injury cause by: the Hotel, its’ employees or agents, liability is limited to the price of the booking.
We do not accept liability for failure to meet any of our obligations where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control.
The hotel does not accept responsibility for damage to, or theft from or theft of vehicles parked on the premises.
Under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, an hotel proprietor may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor or staff of the hotel.
This liability however—
(a)extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the hotel;
(b)is limited to £50 for any one article and a total of £100 in the case of any one guest, except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody;
(c)does not cover motor-cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live animals.
This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to this hotel or that liability there under attaches to the proprietor of this hotel in any particular case.
Upon making and confirming a reservation, the guest consents to the processing of their personal information. Data collated about any individual or company will be used primarily to fulfil any service the guest has requested from us, for example to make a booking. The second function would be for internal marketing purposes.
Under no circumstances do we give personal data to third parties. However, unless specifically stated not to then we,(the hotel) will use your data to send you further information from ourselves.
The hotel does not accept responsibility for any errors or omissions on our website. We reserve the right to cancel, amend or modify any details featured on the website without prior notice. This includes offers, features and availability. The hotel is not liable for any loss or damages that may be incurred through the use of any information taken from this website or any other website it is linked to.
The content of this website is property of the Oxwich Bay Hotel. No part of the website or information contained within the pages may be replicated or republished without prior consent from the administrators, unless it is for personal use only.
