Chef’s Pre Starter

 

To Start

Pantysgawn Goats cheese mousse, pickled beetroot, candied walnuts & toasted brioche  

A taste of the sea (for two to share)

Steamed mussels with white wine and leek, Penclawdd cockles, laver bread and smoked bacon crostini, Thai spiced fishcake and fried calamari with a lemon and chive mayonnaise 

Platter of Duck

Duck and orange parfait, smoked duck breast with a redcurrant and port reduction and a duck leg and spring onion ‘bon bon’ with red onion marmalade

Pan fried King Prawns with a chilli and lime butter, toasted crostini and a love apple relish

 

Main Course

Trio of welsh pork, Slow cooked Breconshire belly pork, confit pork shoulder with a welsh cidre sauce and a pork apple and leek croquette.

Surf and Turf; Grilled 8oz Welsh Rump steak, roasted king prawn skewer, garlic mushrooms, potato rostii and balsamic roasted cherry tomatoes.

Pan roasted cod loin, lemon and black pepper crushed potatoes, crisped Parma ham and a champagne and chive sauce.

Field mushroom wellington, Perl Wen cheese and a wild mushroom and shallot sauce

 

Dessert

Iced Merlyn’s liquor fondant, passion fruit sorbet and a mini strawberry and vanilla pavlova

Strawberry and white chocolate mousse with dark chocolate rose petals

Warm chocolate and hazelnut brownie, salted caramel and fresh raspberry

Welsh Cheese platter, homemade chutney, celery, grapes and cheese biscuits
